Up Close with the Enve Melee V2

The ENVE Melee V2 is the second generation of ENVE’s road race bike, with updates to the frame, cockpit and overall aerodynamics. The result is a lighter, faster bike, with some significant changes to the finer details.

Developed using wind tunnel testing at Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS' Silverstone facility, the Melee V2 has been designed as a complete aerodynamic system, considering everything from the frame and cockpit to the bottle cages.

A few of the details:

  • 17 watts faster than the original Melee.

  • 6.8 kg complete build achievable with SRAM RED in a 56 cm frame.

  • 7.5% reduction in frame, fork and seatpost surface area, reducing weight and improving aerodynamics.

  • Redesigned SES Aero One-Piece Handlebar, with airfoil-shaped drops and thinner 1.2 mm bar tape.

  • SES Aero Bottle Cages, designed to minimise drag while accommodating standard round bottles.
