Shimano 105/SLX SM-RT70 Disc Rotor Centerlock

Shimano's SLX disc brake rotors deliver powerful and consistent brake performance for all riding conditions. The Ice Technologies Freeza rotor significantly reduces heat build-up in the brake system to ensure consistent high-performance braking even on the steepest downhill stretches. The Centelock mounting system makes installing and removing rotors quick and easy due to the spine mount and lock ring design.

Ice Technologies The fade, which can occur to disc brake rotor and pad when braking on a long downhill ride for instance, has a negative impact on the braking performance. SHIMANO has adopted ICE TECHNOLOGIES disc brake rotor and ICE TECHNOLOGIES pad to realize the cooling technology for consistent performance. The clad disc brake rotor blade, which has a 3 layer-sandwich structure of stainless steel, aluminium and stainless steel, provides better radiation performance achieving from 400˚C to 300˚C surface temperature. Also, the radiation fin has been adopted for the pad. Moreover, the clad disc brake rotor blade and the radiator fin provide long pad life, less noise, less fade and lightweight.

Centrelock The Centrelock system makes an easy rotor installation possible with spline mount and a lock ring. The lock ring mounting system reduces the total working hours by shortening the amount of time of both installation and de-installation. In addition, the secure fixing by the spline mount enhances precision and rigidity while improving braking efficiency.
